Upholding our strong stance on data privacy and sovereignty, Ovida ensures that both parties to a meeting have complete control, including the right to irreversibly delete their meeting data whenever they choose.
When can host or guest delete a meeting
Deletion is possible during two distinct windows:
1. The one-minute grace period: When host chooses to end the meeting, preventing data analysis. Once the host ends the meeting, both the host and the guest have a one-minute grace period. During this time, either participant can choose to delete permanently for all - meeting will be deleted immediately and its data will never hit our systems.
2. Post-analysis: Any time after the meeting has been successfully processed and analysed.
The host can delete any meeting they created.
Exception: A host cannot delete a meeting that is currently in a "processing" status.
A guest can also choose to delete a meeting.
Requirement: To delete a meeting, a guest must first be registered on Ovida. They can register at any time.
Irreversible deletion: We irreversibly delete the meeting immediately upon confirmation of the user's request. There is no recovery option.
Removal for all participants: Deleting a meeting removes it from all participants' (host, guest, observer) meeting pages.
